 Welcome to our website.
Spotlite Records started life in 1968 as the brain child of Tony Williams who staked his limited resources on reissuing the complete Charlie Parker Dial recordings. The resulting six LPs listed chronologically all of the altoist?s recording for Dial, and was an essential purchase for anybody interested in post-war jazz.
This initial release was followed by reissues of the remainder of the Dial catalogue, along with American jazz broadcasts and rare studio and live recordings by leading American jazz musicians.
Since then the policy has been developed to encompass British artists including saxophonists Peter King, Don Rendell, Pat Crumly, and Kathy Stobart; pianists John Horler and Brian Dee; and vocalists Lee Gibson, Barbara Jay and Jacqui Dankworth to give just a few examples.
On the following pages, you will find details of our entire catalogue, along with personnel details for each recording, all of which you can Order Online.
