Whats involved and how long will it take?

This depends on the individual needs

Short term solution focused therapy and hypnotherapy
May last from three to twenty weeks. The number of sessions can be renegotiated during the identified time. This type of work will explore a specific identified area which will be the main focus of the work. Examples of this may be - exploring ways of reducing anxiety/stress during high profile moments such as interviews, presentations or stage appearances or reducing the effects of and eliminating Phobias. Other areas that can be focused on in this way are marriage/couple/partner difficulties and exploring life changing decisions.

Open ended
This approach takes a medium to long term view of the many problems and difficulties individuals may have experienced throughout their lifetime and how they relate to their life at present. For substantial change to take place and become integrated into your life, I would suggest a minimum of six to twelve months, in once a week therapy, to move towards this goal. This can rise to twice or three times a week depending on the individuals need. Occasionally client's choose to continue their journey over a number of years. This may be to deepen their experience, or connected to their own training.

Training therapy
Student's following a training course often enter therapy prior to their course commencing and remain in therapy until after their training is complete.

Humanistic Psychotherapy aims to help the individual re-discover and explore the Mind-Body and Transpersonal aspects of the individual's life and help them to move towards a healthy re-integration. Each person is unique and needs to be valued and regarded as an individual.

This can reduce the need to maintain a constant internal struggle. As you move towards re-integration you may find that you are free to re-discover more of the previously lost positive aspects of yourself and how you live life. Which may in turn, lead to an awareness of choice, increased clarity, a freeing-up of blocked creativity and a sense of being grounded.
